I'll be back later with a card more closely following Holly's technique. But when I saw she'd posted patchwork for today - well, it just happened that an hour before I'd picked out this photo of a crewel embroidery I did a while back, and thought I'd like to use it on a card. I wouldn't have thought of patching it till I read the TLC.
I copied a design from *East Quilts West* and scaled it to be the same size as my photo. I printed it twice on thin paper. One copy I stuck to the back of the photo and used as my template for cutting. The other one I used to stick all the triangular pieces to, before putting it through the Wizard with the Birds and Vines ef. I embossed the central diamonds with Paisley. Sponged the edges with brown and stuck the centre diamonds in. Sponged the edges of the whole photo with dark brown, and stuck to an A2 card base. Added doodled lines in dark green at each end, and gold Liquid Pearls.
