For Teapot Tuesday challenge 71, What do Snowmen do at night?
I live fairly deep in the South, where snowmen are mythological creatures and frozen lakes sound as exotic as grass skirts. So, I don't really have it on good authority, but I'm guessing maybe snowmen play on those fabulous frozen lakes at night (have you heard, there are skates with blades for ice, instead of wheels for sidewalks?) Luckily we're having hot chocolate at the tea party -- Southerners have thin blood and get cold easily, you know.
I created this little scene with some stickers. Sketched in the ice pond with colored pencils, then put on a layer of crystal effects to give the pond an icy appearance. Sketched in the sky with colored pencils, then sponged ink over it, using a torn paper to create the horizon.

Your mythological creature line gave me a giggle. You are going to need lots of hot chocolate at the tea party this week. I think you have given your little snowmen a happy place to play. I see they have even invited their penguin friend to join them.

Awww, what a pretty scene. So sorry you don't get below zero degrees comes winter. LOL But gee, you might have a good idea of what they do after all. I just love your iced lake. Cool snowmen and love the mittens someone has lost. LOL

So glad I can see your skaters now, neighbour, they were pending approval last time I looked. I love your scene, and I think you are spot on with your skating idea. When we were small we had a Christmas Surprise my dad had made, with all sorts of animations. One of them was little snowmen skating on a mirror lake.

What a perfect way to use stickers and you picked the perfect ones for today's teaparty. I just love how cute they are. How sweet. Nice sketching with your colored pencils. Nicely done. Ice blades on ice skates. Makes sense to me. I would ice skate at night if I was a snowman (snow person) Hee. I hope we get to see them ice skate! Here have a cookie (there's no calories at Santa's place). Hee.

Love all your ice skaters here. Very serene scene, until one of them falls down....that ice is hard! Awesome Teapot Party card. TFS :0)
