I hope my American friends have had a blessed Thanksgiving today. I did find some time to stamp this morning before we headed over to my sister's home.
Sleepyinseattle (aka Joanne) challenged our Doubledog Dare Challenge (DDC) group to make a wreath using stamps and we'd get extra points if we used flowers to make our wreath.
I chose to use my stamps from Verve's Petals & Stems set. I used a circle Nestability as a stamping guide as I stamped the first layer of flower images. I removed the guide, masked my first layer of flowers and stamped the remaining images to fill in the gaps. Half of the flowers have a polkadotted center (part of this same stamp set) and half are 1/4" circles punched out of Purely Pomegranate cardstock. I colored the flowers that appear to be in the background with Prismacolor pencil and gamsol. Lastly, I cut out the wreath and popped it up on dimensionals.
This is also for this week's Mojo sketch challenge.
Thanks for a great challenge, Joanne! I hope you'll consider playing in our challenge. Just be sure to use keyword DDC if you do.
