Today's challenge was to create a card using a faux technique, so I decided to try the brick wall technique seen here Brick Wall Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I loved the card that Birgit aka Biggan created with this technique some months back, and was so glad that she had done a tutorial!
So I guess my card is also a CASE as I used a similar image and layout.
The image was stamped in multiple shades of blue and then I added some glitter to turn it into a Christmas card. Cut out the bricks and inked the edges with Faded Jeans distress ink, sponging some of the ink around the edges as well. Each brick is popped up on a dimensional and then the whole piece is attached at a slight angle. very merry sentiment added to the bottom right corner and a row of gemstones to the top corner for a bit of balance.
Thanks for taking a peek!

It looks like you and Anne and I were all thinking the same thing for today's challenge. I love the colors that you used on your card. I like how it is tilted slightly. The sparkle on the trees is fantastic. The recipent of this card is going to love it!!!

I love this card also!! I thought about using this stamp set when I first saw the tutorial It is one of my FAVORITE stamp sets. The only thing I didn't understand is why not?? use all the pieces vs. leaving a couple off here and there...I'm going to try using ALL the pieces just to see how it turns out. Wish me luck!!
