Thanks Michelle for filling in for Julia. I hope Julia gets feeling better soon. For my faux texture, I combined 2 different techniques. The first one was black magic. I stamped the flowers with white craft ink on black cardstock. I then colored the flowers with prisma colored pencils. The second technique that I used was Birgit's brick wall technique. I then added 2 butterflies. I made the butterfly in the right hand corner by stamping the butterfly twice and layering the right wings on top of eachother.
Matted the image with blue, black and gold cardstock and finished it with 4 little pewter brads.

Wow!! What a beautiful job, I'll have to try those 2 techniques together like that sometime. Do you use a blender pen when you colour the flowers after stamping them on black with white craft? TFS
