Hi! I made this card for today's ways to use it challenge: a faux feel. I chose to do the faux linen technique and distress one of my background panels; the other one is heated pearls. By the time I finished the heated pearls piece, I had a real mess, not a faux one! LOL!!
I stamped the main image in Kaleidacolor's Pumpkin patch for this one. I mounted it on a piece of metallic earthtone paper from Hanko, then sprayed bronze glimmer mist over it.
For the faux linen piece, I decided not to use a stamped image first; I tried but the background stamps I have all fought with the main image. I sponged old olive, creamy caramel, more mustard, cameo coral and apricot appeal over a piece of sanded glossy cs and sanded it again. Then I distressed the edges with my distressing tool and rich cocoa ink pad. I attached ribbon inked with rust.
I made the heated pearls background piece with super russet and super bronze peal ex. I mounted the layers on my card base and added faux pearls in a bronzy color.
Now, my stamping table is a mess, as are the clothes I was wearing when I dropped a piece of un-heated pearl cs on myself!! My trashcan and my clothes hamper are now full, but I like the card anyway!!
Tfl, and have a blessed day!

I had to chuckle about your mess because I can so relate to that! :-) The card is beautiful in the end, so makes it all worthwhile!
