This card is for the Flourishes November release challenge. Our inspiration is to come from the song "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music. My inspiration came from the line:
"Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens."
I cut 4 sets of "warm woolen mittens" with a Sizzix originals die in various papers and decorated them. Colored some hemp twine with coordinating ink and pulled it part to soften the look. Stamped the wood grain onto SU CC CS and mounted it onto two layers of chipboard. Sponged and distressed, finished with brown marker. Applied the "bright copper" snaps before assembling the 2 chipboard layers. Trimmed the mittens and "hung" on the copper pegs. Applied sand striped vellum to vanilla CS, layered over artichoke and burgundy. After I started stitching, I realized why I don't use my Sew Crafty as often as I would like. Stamped sentiment in nestie, sponged and mounted it on Burgundy CS. Assembled all on vanilla card. Popped random mittens on dimensionals. Thanks for looking!
