I love the FS challenge each Sunday- and this week is another fantastic gallery to CASE a card from. Congrats Christine! I started out with this card as my inspiration:CAS37 SOOTHING LAVENDER by chrisations.ink at Splitcoaststampers
I changed:
1)I made it a winter scene
2)I still divided the card into 3's, but applied the color with a brayer
3)It ended up as a X-mas 'Scene'
My trees were to be like the flowers in the middle- I stamped them with first Old Olive and Versamark then just slightly offset with a light Always Artichoke and Versamark. (5 trees in all). Next, I brayered Bashful Blue on for the sky with a masked Moon in the way...drat- there was some green still on the brayer- so now I have a drearier sky than I wanted- Night of Navy came to the rescue....... I took off the moon mask and brayered light blue over the sky again to shadow in the moon.
I added a little Night of Navy under the bases of the trees for shadow and around the edges of the card- now it was either flower soft or glitter.....I decided to get out the irridescent Ice EP and the versamark pen. Oh my- there is glitter everywhere in my kitchen from the EP! (But I love the sparkle).
Next, I decided to add the snow Shepherds- Mom and child Seeking the Light. They are colored with Copics and are on dimensionals. Only about 50 cards left to go....... not all this design though!
Thanks for looking!
