At last I have uploaded a new card! I wanted to take a stab at this week's technique challenge and this is the result. Between an extended holiday in Sept-Oct (to deliver the wedding card that was my last upload all the way to Montreal) and a bad case of 'tennis elbow' I've spent very little time crafting lately.
After a couple of attempts figuring out the best stack for my Cuttlebug, I managed to get the technique to work. I also got a chance to test out my new oval nesties... I'm gonna have fun with those!
The stamp is one I bought years ago - it coordinated with the graphics and bulletins we used for a Sunday School program at our church. Even then I couldn't resist a good stamp - I hadn't even heard of SCS or SU at the time!
After embossing, I sponged a bit of Bashful Blue over the blank area and the raised areas. Stamped the image with Stazon. (Next time I'll dig out my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get it a little more centred!) I added a little bit of highlighting with a silver Gelly Roll pen and some Frosted Lace Stickles to give it a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by!

Yikes, I didnt know you had tennis elbow ~ not an easy thing to have to work through. glad you're on the mend and back where you need to be. I love your sentiment. Christ is really the center of Christmas. Beautiful card especially w/your new nesties!

Hope you had a wonderful time in Montreal and are feeling much better in regards to that elbow. This is the sweetest image and sentiment. You've worked beautifully with your nesties and that technique. Oh, and by the way, I HAVE ridden in a police car, but I haven't done time!!! I got lost in grade 5 and asked an officer where my address was (it was dark and that's always been a challenge for me to get my bearings!!!) So, he and his partner drove me the 2 blocks home--gave my mom a little fright!!!

Welcome back! Sounds as if you have been having a wonderful time except for the tennis elbow. Yikes! No fun there. Hope it will improve quickly. This is the sweetest Christmas card and what it is all about. Love your image and one I have never seen. You made such a precious card.
I laughed at the comment you left me today and I'll probably be in jail by tomorrow if Pamster has her way. Take care of that elbow.
