I have made this card for a little girl who has been through so much. My dfaughter Lovely Linda emailed me her story and asked me if I would like to do a card for Jaimie and n=me part of the 'Spread the Love for Jaimie' Blog Hop that is happening at 10am EST Minday 4 November....my card will feature on Linda's Blog: http://lovelylindascraftcentral.blogspot.com/
and would love it if you would check it out!
I found it quite hard to do, as Jaimie is not a "girly" girl, and is only 11, and likes skateboarding and karate etc. I didn't have anything that reflected that, so concentrated on the colours that she likes, and the "love" aspect without being over the top, and that despite all her sadness "to hang in there"
Central theme stamp that has been coloured and shaded, with pegs on line to represent "Hang in there". Embossed black border, with embossed "pieplate" love hearts with bling, and edged with black and white ribbon. Bottom black border, torn and gel penned. Corners layered with heart brads and Jamie's name from alphabet die cut, and outlined. Card finished off with silver stars - I wanted it to be bright and positive using her colours and not too "girly".
Thank you so much for looking and for all of your comment, you are very kind!!
