This is the first time I have worked with Grungepaper and Wendy VecchiÂ’s flower stamp, but I loved it ;) and I see many more in the future. I love how the Grungepaper holds itÂ’s shape for that perfect 3D effect, and how the Distress Inks stay wet long enough for blending. I have used Distress Inks in the past, but only for shading the edge of cards, never have I blended with them like I did for this project. Loved it!!!
The idea for the card came from a little tin with candies inside and 4” x 6 1/4” in size.
•Stamp flower on Grungepaper three times, and cut out. One center, and two layers of petals.
•Cover both flower layers with Fired Brick front and back, and shade with Aged Mahogany (remember I shade from the center out).
•Cut each petal toward the flower center so they will lift more.
•Add Flower Soft to center of flower with glue.
•Stamp and emboss L,V and E with black embossing powder and cut out. Distress with a combination of Antique Linen and Old Paper.
•Stamp sentiment on Vanilla cardstock with Old Paper ink, then shade edges.
•Cut and emboss the leaf with green cardstock, and spray with Glimmer Mist.
•Assemble as shown.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
