I managed to get the last card made for the Verve sketches. I had fun with this - my first cards that I used to make were computer-generated, but I've forgotten a lot of what I learnt back then.
I used the free digital images, using the mittens to create background paper, and a sentiment for the focal image. ColorBox Pigment Sky Blue turned out a perfect match to the pattern fill I'd used for *wonderful* and the blue panel, so I used that for sponging edges. The sentiment panel is layered on matt silver card, and I added a snowflake punched from self-adhesive velvet, with a pearl in the centre. The panel is popped up on foam tape.
The blue layer was embossed with Snowflakes, then wiped with Versamark and embossed with white EP. I spayed a scrap of white lace with silver paint and used that behind it.
I got to use some of the mitten buttons that have been on my desk for the last month, with a piece of silver Mizuhiki cord curled round a knitting needle for the mitten string.
