This card was made for today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Patches.
I decided, that since my first quilt was a nine patch quilt, that I would make a Christmas card for my Grandmother, (the person I gave my first quilt to, and ironically, it was this color)!
I cut 9 1 1/2" squares and adhered them to the base. Next, I used the zigzag on my sewing machine to create "seams."
The image was stamped once in Burnt Umber and off-stamped 5 more times to create the depth of field. The sentiment was ink first in Burnt Umber then off-stamped and inked in L'Amore Red, so that it would match the papers.
Finished card size: 5 1/2" square
Total time: 22 minutes...I couldn't find the ocre thread! YIKES! It was la nightmare...Now I have to clean my office!LOL

This is one of my favorites of yours ever, I think. Not that they aren't all lovely, but I really like the memory associated with your card, the paper choices, just really beautiful.
