I wanted to play along with a couple of the Verve October challenges, to give some more use to the lovely stamps I won in the WCMD challenges. But when I checked out the Winter Mittens digi images which are available free till Friday, that was my starting point. Mostly because I have some cute little mitten buttons sitting on the desk - but they didn't go with the card, so they're still there.
5 3/4" square white base, then a layer of pink Bazzill, then some Making Memories snowflake paper. I used Frosted Lace Stickles all around the white edge of the card base. I sized and printed the mittens and sentiment - lucky accident that the blue I chose for the sentiment was a good match for the MM paper when I turned it up . Coloured the mitts with H2Os, and popped a second pair up on foam. There's more Stickles on the cuffs, and tiny gems on the little snowflakes. Sakura Stardust clear on the mitten strings. Both image and sentiment are layered on Bazzill, with more Stickles around the edges of the white layers. The sentiment is also popped up on foam. I added a Spellbinders Build a Snowflake 1 flake in white Bazzill Bling and pink Bazzill, with more tiny rhinestones to ornament. I so had fun with this - and since it's almost bedtime over here, it will be tomorrow before I get the real stamps inked up.
