Hi! I just came across this fun DoubleDog Dare Challenge hosted by Julia: Doubledog Dare challenge - Make a Coffin! by artystamper at Splitcoaststampers
Martha Stewart's box template: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/coffin-treat-box
How I made the "wood planks":
1. ran beige card stock with a Fiskars wood texture plate through my cuttlebug.
2. smeared three shades of brown distress ink pads over the embossed paper.
3. cut it into strips
4. glue strips to the top of the coffin box & partially covered the googly eyes
5. trim away the excess planks on all sides, added tiny "nail heads" with a sharpie pen and used a Q-tip to add more shading with dark brown distress ink.
It was a little time consuming but I think the end result was worth it.
Happy Fall & Thanks for looking!
