This is for IC201 and here is a link to the piece that inspired me. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=32208732 I really liked the yellow and blue in the piece and the black flourishes. I thought it would be fun to do a Halloween piece and try my hand at a sky and moon scene with a witch flying by. Last month Julie... justwritedesigns... did a fantastic sky on a Halloween project. I was so intrigued with the outcome and thought I might be able to watercolor a sky similar to hers. Here is a link to Julie's gorgeous piece. CT0909 Birds in Disguise by justwritedesigns at Splitcoaststampers This is a Dirty Dozen project so I apologize to those of you who are not members and cannot see the card. Go join the Fan Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe my watercolor attempt feel far short of what Julie accomplished with sponging and markers but I am pleased that I at least tried.
I punched a circle in a mask, placed it over the watercolor paper and filled in the circle by painting in bright yellow full strenth reinker and heat dried. I then lightly applied a fine layer of water all around the moon on the blank paper to prepare it to take the blue ink wash. I used a dark shade of washed blue reinker and painted all around the moon and allowing the blue to run down. I tried to be careful and not allow too much blue get on the yellow moon but as you can see I got a little heavy handed. I heat dried the paper well to dry and then stamped the images and heat embossed with black EP.

Kittie - this is so cool looking. Those clouds look so eerie and your moon scene is great. Love it!
