We're attending a wedding later this month and I wanted to make a card that used the wonderfully embossed invitation we received. I've also been wanting to make one of these tri-shutter cards since I first saw the tutorial on SCS. I adapted mine a bit so that I had a full front panel and fewer popped-out panels on the inside. Used the wonderful green and white embossed panels from the wedding invite along with lots of shimmery Bazzill bling cardstock. Punched the bride and groom's name from the invite too. Lots of punching and pearls and pop-dots and even a wonderful little pearly heart charm that I received from the very generous Pam124 earlier this summer (Thanks Pam - Hope you had a great birthday yesterday!) I had fits tying this ribbon (where's Anne when you need her?) so opted for knots instead!!! I'll sign it on the blank scalloped circle on the inside panel.
I was pleased with how it turned out but it's so heavy it'll cost a fortune to mail so I think we'll hand deliver it to Montreal instead! ;-)

Wow! This is gorgeous and how wonderful that you used the pretty embossed panel from the invitations. The use of all those punches added so much..their names and those little hearts..all so pretty. And, of course, that pearl charm from Pamalina. It is the special finishing touch. Looks like a lot of
work went into this and I'm sure the recipients will/or should be VERY pleased.

A stroke of creative GENIUS. How Gorgeously you have done up this card with the recycled invitation. What a beautiful treasure you have created and you get to take a trip. Will you fly or drive to Montreal (I go every summer to my Dad's cottage--I have for 35 yrs and just missed one). You are a little further away than 8 hrs. tho'!!

Yup, it sure would cost a fortune to mail. so glad you've decided to carry instead all the way to Montreal. I think what you've created w/your tri fold card is more than stunning: it's absolutely gorgeous. I love the attention to detail you've obviously given to this remarkable card. The green and brown are special together, and when you added those white punched hearts, that was all I needed to see to know the happy couple will surely look at this card more than once. What a beauty!

Heather, this is MAGNIFICO!!! OMG, I wish you could stay put at home more so we could see more of your cards. You really put so much love, time and work into this card and it truly shows. What a great invitation!!! That heart pam124 gave you just seems to put this card WAY OVER THE TOP!! LOL!!! I'm with you on the bows, I struggle so much. I truly wanted to do a bow on one of my recent cards and I just couldn't get it to work. It's times like that that Anne Ryan would come in handy, but don't let her know that!! LOL!! Oh, I see from your recent comment to me you got your lattice arch punch finally. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!! TFS Heather and safe trip!!!!

Heather, it's been a while since I've checked in here and look what I missed.........that'll teach me to go so long between check-ins.
What a gorgeous card! I love that you incorporated the wedding invite and I'm sure that will be very special to the couple. I love all the hearts too (being heart crazy as I am) and all the detail and embellishments. Great work of art. TFS
