This is my card for Cindy's tea-party today. When I read the blog this morning, I was thinking of using Happy Camper. He could be a bad bear, and certainly there are pine trees. But then I remembered Bartholomew sitting uninked in my Penny Black tray. So I've implemented plan A according to Cindy - and a little bit of plan C. There is some gingham vellum which I don't find easy to use, and some flowers, and he's got plenty of snacks stowed away in his little pack. OK, it's not a basket. But the little teapot made me think so much of my first embroidery box that I was afraid of getting needles and pins mixed in with the picnic if I made a basket.
A2 base, then two types of gingham with the edges wiped with Brilliance red. The Penny Black image was stamped with Versafine and coloured with watercolour pencils and a bit of white gel pen. I stitched a swirl at the edge and added some punched flowers and gems, and that was it.
The mushrooms look pretty poisonous, so plan D is to offer them to the bad guys.

It's so nice to have a Plan D! If we have to vacate to our own pic-a-nic area, we could very well have bad guys chasing us! We will bombard them with mushrooms! Woot! The innocence of your little bear will draw them in close and then Zap! Zowee! We got'em girlfriend!
So glad you are back. Marilynn send me a pm...where is Sabrina? I am worried about her. I said she went on a trip that stinker! Giggle....you and your cards were definately missed! We rescued a rich ladybug, we will give you your share of the reward money! Honestly we will!

This is adorable Sabrina. I love the gingham. It really is so sweet with this image. This is the perfect stamp for this challenge today. I was missing you last week too. Your background for you photography is as beautiful as your card. You have to make some pumpkin bread. It is yummy yummy.

Sabrina, so glad you are back! Your Penny Black image is adorable and your plan D is brilliant! Fabulous coloring right down to the cute little snail on the fence post. Sorry the gingham vellum gave you a hard time, but it surely is pretty as a picnic cloth!

Sabrina's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!! Yee-haaaaaww! We missed you, girl!
Does Bartholemew want to be buddies with big, bad and bodaciously beautiful Boo Boo? Bart looks like he'd be such a good buddy and he's carrying the food!
I love the sweet gingham vellum, but I agree it is hard to attach to things unless you use eyelets or brads because even that vellum tape shows through!
Didja hear we're flingin' baskets today? da Muddermark thinks their empty, but, ya know, she's not operating on a full battery after drinkin' all that bear beer. There's lotsa honey to be flung today! Woo-hoo!

Sabrina is here!!! Yeah!! I love this little bear. The way you colored him is awesome. I love the little mushrooms, but I'll pass on eating them. The stitched swirl is so pretty.

Glad you are back. You were missed by me but it was actually MariLynn who asked about you.
I would say your bear has a plan for every occasion. Very smart to bring a backpack which is much easier to keep close than a picnic basket. The embellishments are perfect for the scene you created.
