I used Eloise Greengrass for my image because she is holding a tulip. I got sidetracked, yet again, by a comment that MM left in the tea party thread and it just took over my brain. So I brought a tulip instead of ladybugs.
What you canÂ’t see is that there is a ladybug hiding in the tulip. SheÂ’s just a little too shy to show herself. IÂ’m sure after some of the tea party shenanigans today that sheÂ’ll peek out to see whatÂ’s going on! Probably right around the time Bertie is flinginÂ’ somethinÂ’ or thwackinÂ’ someone with whatever happens to be handy at the moment!
As for the card: I stamped the bottom panel in Melon Mambo with a bg stamp, then again with Baroque Motifs in gold embossing. I had a happy accident in that the Melon Mambo ink was still damp, so some of the embossing powder stuck to the background image in a random, scattered manner. I was very pleased with the unexpected results, so I used it.
Eloise is paper pieced with dp and the skin tones were done with Copics. I colored her wings with a gold gel pen and then Stickled them. The tulip is paper pieced and I added Crystal Effects.
I personally feel I should win some kind of crazy-person award for cutting her teeny-weeny shoes out of dp! LOL.

Last I heard the bug thug was hiding in the tulip patch! You are genius! Bringing your ladybug disquised as a big ole tulip! You even fooled the shy little ladybug hiding in your prop! Its just a matter of time before the bug thug comes hiding up your tulip skirt!
How do you catch a bug thug?.
Catch'em in a tulip skirt!
Why didn't I think of that!
PS...I never would purposely try to fool anyone! Are you sure you just don't REALLY like tulips and have then etched on your brain?? Snort! What an awesome card...love the gold..you could send it to someone!!!!

OMGoodness! What a darling card... love all the gold! And don't worry about bringing along a tulip instead of a ladybug... we'll have lots of ladybugs and that pretty tulip of yours will be a great place for them to hide!!!

Huh? Whatchoo you talkin' 'bout, Em? Bertie ain't causin' no trouble. Unh-unh. Ya ever hear of that song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun?" That's all Bertie wants...really....justa to have fun!
I did bring some anti-slime bug protective dust, if ya want some fer yer purty fairy lady, though. I certainly wouldn't want Bug Thug to soil her purty paper-pieced dress and shoes. I seez ya got some more of yer purty currency gold paper here, which looks might loverly with that beautiful gold embossing.

Well, M, your card almost leaves me speachless! It is perfection! That is the cutest little fairy I have ever seen and of course there is a ladybug hiding in that gorgeous big tulip! Ladybugs LOVE tulips! And besides, Cathleen saw six of them. Oops- I guess she had six drinks and only saw one! Well one is enough! Fabulous card!
