I chose this card because when I first glanced at it, it reminded me of a window or recessed alcove in a wall of a church. This was perfect for today, as dear friends of ours are going through a very difficult time and situation. So I wanted to make them a card with the Serenity Prayer. I tried to make the paper look old on the edges by not only distressing but sponging. I changed the dp, used pearls, and instead of using a circle and a square, a cut out a rectangle and curved the top so it is just one piece to resemble an arched alcove in a wall as the backdrop.
Thanks so much for looking, and appreciate your comments.

This is beautiful, and the shapes are perfect for this sentiment! The papers remind me of a pretty antique/Victorian wallpaper too! Your friends will love this!
