I brought home some birch bark from our cabin about a year ago. No trees were hurt in the process; the bark came from a downed tree from a storm. Anyway, I peeled some layers off the bark and attached it to Whisper White cardstock using Mod Podge and some heavy books. Mod Podge dries slow, but works well in this case because it does not dry sticky. It makes a perfect background, with texture and interest, just calling to be touched. And doesn't it go great with this stamp set I borrowed from my mom?? We made this card for my August stamp club.
