Don't let the title of this card fool ya . . . it did NOT make me happy! This technique was just NOT working for me!!

First, I didn't have enough magic mesh, so I had to piece some together to fit over the brayer. Then, the first time I "painted" the cardstock . . . too much ink. Tried it again, and the darn magic mesh just peeled right off! Couldn't get it to stick after that and didn't have any more. I just had to cut out pieces of what I HAD done and try to make them work.

Sooooooo, I'm not really lovin' this card, but I guess it'll hafta do!!

This turned out perfect. Remember this technique gives an "artsy" look to your background and not a true "stamped" image - which you accomplished with great style and flair. Love these colors together!!! Thanks Wendy for playing along.

I think your card is very pretty and festive looking but I feel your pain. I've had similar experiences and it isn't fun.

I like the effect you got. At least you found more magic mesh than I did - don't know where mine has gone. I found one small strip on my desk - the width of the brayer but only 1" wide.
Yours reminds me of the first colour of Aida cloth that I had when I was learning cross-stitch as a little girl .

It does sound like a messy technique but I think your end result was worth it. Worth it for those who look at your card, if not for you. Thanks for sharing it!

Wendy, your card is very nice. You are way too hard on yourself. I think your card has a nice vintage look to it. People pay a lot of money to get furniture with this look
