I made this card for 2 challenges - the StampinB's #20 to use chalk, and the LSC 234 to make a masculine card with no flowers, ribbon, or bling.
I stamped the image on SU! Sweet Slumber Specialty textured dsp and embossed it with brown ep, then chalked it with blue. I cut a Nestability "frame" and used it as a guideline for chalking and adding faux stitching around the edges. It's a different look, but it's growing on me.
Thanks for the great challenges and for stopping by today

This caught my eye as soon as you posted it. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and you've managed to keep things clean and masculine without sacrificing style or interest. You have great details with a unique technique. This is fantastic.

Your card is very creative. Using the Nestabilities as a "frame" for your chalking and faux stitching was a great idea! My late husband would have loved your card -- he loved trains!

Hi Carol, your images went in the mail this morning.
I love the monochromatic look, the negative image of the train engine is super, your lines are so clean and fresh and I love the way you used the eyelet in the sentiment circle .
