I was simply inspired to make these to encourage 2 teenagers from our church whose father (we just found out) has been given 2 weeks to live. He is a friend to us and has an awesome testimony and I want them to "share" that with those around them.
I'll probably wait a while before I give these to them, maybe after he passes and they have had time to soak everything all in...

Very nice! I love the tall envelopes you made. I am thinking of doing my son's confirmation invitations on bookmarks with his bible verse he chooses on the front and the date and time of the event on the back. That way it can be a keepsake as well. I would really like to know how you made the envelope so I can maybe use it for that purpose. Thanks so much!
Ok, i'll try to explain the envelope as best I can. The card is 2.75" So I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 down to 6.25x11. I scored at 1/16th less than 3" and then again at 2/16th less than 6" so that there was a 3/8" flap. Then on the 3/8" flap and the middle section I cut off about 1" on either side (judged by holding the card up to it) and scored the ends of the 11" long section to fold over as tabs. I used the large corner rounder to round the corners. Sticky strip to hold it together. Hope you can understand my directions!
