I made this card using an emboss-deboss technique. The light red square is a red on red striped design paper that I ran through the Swiss Dot folder. I then brushed over the dots with white ink to make them pop a bit. I embossed the lower right corner only with a small folder from CuttlebugÂ’s Fancy Corners collection and used Perfect Pearls to color the embossed image. I used the same floral corner folder to emboss all around the edge of a piece of pink dotted design paper.
The letters for “hello” were cut with the Cricut, colored with Perfect Pearls, and embellished with a light brush of patina Stickles. I used the patina Stickles for the centers of the flowers as well.
The red embossed panel was mounted onto a piece of solid cream paper and then onto a piece of the same red on red, and then onto the pink dot background. After fastening a piece of light red ribbon, the piece was mounted onto a light red patterned card stock foundation then finished with an attached bow.
