The teapot of the day over at Mothermark's site is a bumble bee - which is interesting because I participate in the Sunflower project online. http://www.greatsunflower.org/ People all over the US receive sunflower seeds which they nurture and then count how many bees visit over a half hour of counting. Unfortunately this year my sunflowers totally died for lack of sunshine so before I can even have bees, I need to get some sunshine going.
So my card has sunshine and sunflowers and hopefully the bees will come ...

How lovely! What bees could resist resting in this place. Beautiful. TFS

Okay, here is the deal....just between you and me....I am not feeling alota love from Uncle Beeford...so....lets take a few fees his way and then once there is quite a swarm going on in Boonville, we sneak a bunch out the back door and come give you a hand! Whut? Uncle Beeford won't have a clue! He's to busy trying to figure out how to make a decent snack that the tea potters won't throw back at him! Snort!
This is a beautiful, beautiful card....Fun that you combined challenges... Don't worry, we'll help you out here!!! We already have 20 bees headed to Boonville and its early!!

Pretty card and very good idea - bait for bees! It should work well at attracting bees and provide a nice place for them to hand out. I am sorry about your flowers this year - but isn't it nice that you can still enjoy them through your work. Great job.

Your card is beautiful and that sounds like a wonderful project you take part in, even with the bad results. This is going to attract many bees to the party, I can tell!!!!

Oooooo! What bee could resist these lovely sunflowers and the sunshine rays? Absolutely beautiful! That sounds like a really cool project in which you participate. I would have to use binoculars to count the bees, if I did such a thing, though, cause bees skeer me!

How sad that your real sunflowers withered up. Mine are still green - but not even budding, last time I looked. Two Sundays ago DH and I went for a walk in a nearby park and I promised him sunflowers - were there ever!! But not as pretty as yours, and your sun is just fanstastic. I hope some of the spare bees will swarm and come over to you. In the meantime, your picture makes me feel as if I am in the South of France, which would be a lovely place to be.

Beautiful card! I'm with MM ... let's share some bees with you. I brought several, so we'll send some your way. Your sunflower group sounds perfectly wonderful!

I think that is really neat about your sunflower group. I adore sunflowers. They are my favorite flower. I know the wonderful field of sunflowers that you have created will bring lots of bees!
