This is a birthday card for my dear friend, Chimay Blue aka Peter. He has always wanted to go to Tahiti, so for his birthday I brought Tahiti to him. Complete with hula girl and mermaid!
I used the Beach Cricut cartridge for the waves, mermaid, hula girl and palm tree along with some Jolee diecuts. Added glitter to the foreground waves and Itty Bitty Backgrounds for the sand. The sentiment is embossed.
I think this also qualifies for Blondie's DD Challenge for Paper Tole.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

This is so cute! Love the wonderful scene you've created. I did notice the nice amount of glitter coming off the surf. My favorite part is the tiki bar complete with drink. Wow!

Bummer, I left some comments last night on this too fun card, and just came back to read Petey's comments: neither of our comments are here. Anyway, Tahiti for Petey ~ are you now a poet and dont know it? I see your week was filled with delectable and fun creations. This is just another one of those fun fun fun cards. Oh, I do have this feeling, though, that Petey probably didnt have quite this scene in mind. Do I dare ask if you're the hula dancer? she does have long hair I see? Too too fun and hilarious. Hope petey enjoys his trip without .....

OK, M, I thought you couldn't do scenes? I just hopped on over from Anne's Realtor card to this, and it is AWESOME! Cutest beach scene ever! Love the flaming tiki torch and the rolling waves! Such a beautiful sky, and what a sweet little hut complete with thatched roof!
