This is my card for the Flourishes challenge] this week, which was monochromatic. I was glad of all the lovely DT cards, because monochromatic is not something that I find easy to do.
I've also combined it with the birthday challenge.
The base is A2 purple card. Then a gold layer. Then some polished stone background, made with Raisin, Wild Plum, Aubergine and Pearl mixatives.
I stamped the peacock on cream paper with gold ink and embossed with gold EP, then coloured it with H2Os. I trimmed it down and layered it up on gold, laying some purple organza ribbon between the image panel and the mat layer. (I don't think I've ever bought purple ribbon in my life, but I was lucky enough to find several scraps that came from various friends). I stuck this down onto the polished stone layer, and wrapped the ribbon round that too before attaching it to the base. I finished it off by tying the ribbon, adding some Primas and Dew Drops, and a gold Happy Birthday.

Sabrina, this is beautiful!! What a stunning monochromatic card. I love the color you chose, and the gold embossing is gorgeous!! Those primas are the perfect touch. What a great job on both of these challenges!!

As if the peacock weren't gorgeous enough, your sketch and color combo are to die for. Beautiful, Sabrina! It just jumps off the page.
