This is another combo Dare to Get Dirty card...for Bev's challenge to use stitching, for Amy's to use an animal on a card, and for Deb's challenge to be inspired by music.
I am sure the only thing that is confusing is the music part! I LOVE 80's music! Big hair bands like Bon Jovi, dance tunes like "To Shy" by kajagoogoo and girly songs like "Oh Mickey". I had the requisite BIG BANGS (and big hair in general) in high school and college. My family referred to 80's girl hair as the "rooster tail"...you know...curl your hair, spray it while it's wrapped in the curling iron, then tease it straight up like a rooster/chicken comb and spray some more! So my stitching and this cute Penny (my nickname in high school!) by Anna Wight made me think of all the 80's music and styles that I loved!

Heheh! Your 80's memories got me giggling! Makes me laugh to see pictures of giant hair (and giant eyeglasses rims too!)...and parachute pants! Remember those?! LOL! I taught an exercise class routine (physical therapy for pregnant women) to Oh Mickey! So funny to think back!
Adorable card! I love the stitching and this cute hen! So fun! Thanks for playing my challenge!

This really made me smile this morning - the card and your write-up. That stitched tail shape/swirl is cool. Love the two different patterned papers behind the hen, too.
I managed to fit a little teapot and one of your papers into Susan's sketch challenge
