I am so happy I finally get to play with new catalogue supplies! And Halloween stuff, too! I *love* Halloween! I definitely make more Halloween card than I send, but I just have such a great time making them that I allow myself this little crafting pleasure.
What do you think of this one - Dirty enough? I had a hard time at first because I wanted the main circle to be the Medallion background and it was just too big and overwhelming the whole card. So I cut it out and then it looked more like a snowflake (note to self!) than anything Halloween-related, so I scrapped that idea. I am glad I did - as soon as I kept only the skull image and started playing with my paper scraps, the whole thing came together very quickly. I even used the scraps from cutting the medallion out to make the Razzleberry pointy border at the bottom. (The background stamp in From the Crypt could have worked, too.)
I had planned on hanging the spider from silver cord from the start, but adding the sentiment between her legs came as an afterthought, as I was about done. Adding the button on the ribbon, too.
You might not be able to tell from the picture, but the black patterned paper band has been dry-embossed with the Finial Press folder.
