Looks like Snoopy has a dirty job (but someone's gotta do it, oh-oh-oh-oh-wah-oh) with my first Dare to Get Dirty Challenge! This is for Michelle's (sf9erfan) For The Boys challenge: a masculine card with
1 piece of pattern paper (SU Parisian Breeze polka dot clouds)
2 stamps (stampabilities Snoopy and Unity July KOM clouds)
3 colors (PTI soft stone for the base, SU Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze-I hope the grey & brown on snoops is OK!)
For Snoopy, I stamped him on white and cut him out. I would like to thank another DD alumni, labullard, for leaving me a hint on one of my cards about putting clear packing tape on the back of intricately cut figures before cutting them out to increase stability--it worked wonderfully! I never worried about the struts or propellers breaking at all.
The only thing that is colored is his helmet & goggles. Everything else is paper pieced. It's also hard to tell, but the bottom wing is on popdots to give some dimension. I also added some subtle shading along the bottom with a grey copic, and used a white gel pen for the circles.
The banner I made in MS Word using word art and curved/freeform lines. I punched two holes and threaded some black floss, attaching it with tape to the back of the banner & plane.
The clouds were stamped with PTI Smokey Shadow. Some of the clouds are flat, and some are on 1/8 popdots. The banner & plane are on 1/4 inch popdots.
Thanks for a fun challenge; it certainly got my mojo back!

This card is TERRIFIC Meg!! Your cutting was meticulous - great work! I like your creativity and how you have Snoopy and the flag popped up, they really stand out. A stunner.
