So we are off to France this week for the Big RACE! However, my poor little guy and his little friend suffer from poor self-esteem. We have to keep reminding them that the race doesn't define who they are as a snail and they still are an important part of our tea party society.
What the heck is a Peloton? I had to google it when I saw the sneak peek. I am not going to tell you here, if you want to know, you have to go to The tea party found here: http://www.mothermark.blogspot.com/
I have been wanting to try a digi, so this is what I did: I used my research skills (Ha ha) and found my images on bing.com. I also did not want to be late this week! I never was able to catch up on the comments, etc. Next week I will be in Ocean City Md. Have fun!

Snails need pep talks don't you know!
All their life they're told they're slow!
If you stroke them they will thrive.
And get their speed to Fifty Five!
THAT is the Peloton my friend! Its the background on your card! Giggle! This is pretty much the image I saw on the TV coverage.....close call for those little snails crossing the road. I am glad your's have the capability of moving a little faster after your words of encouragment!
What a great card Maureen! You have been busy and I am glad you got to come early. We will miss you next week but I hope you have a wonderful time in Ocean City! Be good! Don't do anything a tea potter wouldn't do! Hugs

The poem is a giggle. Love the bkgrd. paper. Could that be a Peloton? See this challenge not only helps our creativity grow but our vocabulary as well. I am impressed with your early posting. Just got back from my walk and said to myself,"Self you better get going."

Maureen, great card. I love the little wiggle eyes on your snail. What an interesting poem. I am glad that I don't have to be defined by my past. What a great idea to have the panels of the peloton behind your little snails.

Ha! Ha! What a goofball you are with that poem! Me thinks you're snails are trampling over the Peleton (isn't cool that so many of us learned something new today?) Cute card, Maureen!

Great work with your cute snails and all those cyclists in the background. Hmm - I did know what a peloton was, but when I read Cindy's blog this morning, it came at me from left of centre and I was left scratching my head trying to make a connection with snails.
The vellum and the wobble eyes are both great touches.

Well done Maureen, you have learned what peloton means and you have saved your little snail friends from being crushed by them. YAY! I too, have a little friend snail I'm looking to match with. Any males in your small peloton of snails. LOL
Awesome and creative card, just love it. Glad to see you again, have a great time on your vacacay! Snugs or bisous!

Fun card and fun poem! You are so creative! I love how you incorporated almost everything from the story into the card.
