Cornish Hertiage Farm's Summer Design Challenge 3 was tomake a card using any resist technique. I have never tried crayon resist before, but I really liked it and it was prettyeasy so I will definitely be trying it again.
I made this card for my hubby who is on a business trip and thought I would write something dorky inside like "the hive isn't the same without you" or "We miss you back here at the hive".
I highlighted the left sides of the hives and the letters with a white crayon. The bee's and heart are popped up with Pop Its and their wings are painted with Shimmerz in angel wings for a realistic wing-like effect, though I don't know if it shows up in the photo.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

I love how this turned out!! I've never tried crayon resist, either, but your results are amazing and now I think I'll have to try it for sure Your background looks super. The bees are adorable (the hives are, too!) and I love what you did with their wings--it *does* show up!! Looks very realistic, too. What a fantastic card, Meredith!!

So cute! That background turned out great and those bees are too cute! I bee-lieve your DH will be buzzing with excitement when he gets this from his Queen Bee!
