I made this card for my first time hostessing a VSN! It uses the salted background technique.
I took baha breeze, not quite navy and old olive as my colours, quickly washed over a wet piece of glossy cardstock. Then, I quickly sprinkled on salt, re-spritzed the paper, and then used my heat gun to dry the whole works.
After the salt was brushed off, I used the classic "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set. After the ink had dried, I oversponged the trees and markered them up some more. A greeting from the Fresh Cuts set, some not quite navy paper and some old olive brads rounded out the card.
Hope you enjoy the card and the technique!!
