This is my entry for today's Ways To Use It challenge (WT227). The challenge was to use two identical “somethings” on your card. My identical somethings are the two stamped flowers in the upper right and lower left corners.
Well, I have to say that this is *not* how I envisioned this card. I had sketched what I thought would be a really cool layout for this card and was really excited to try it out, but certain elements ended up being different sizes/proportions than I'd expected and by the time I was ready to adhere everything, nothing fit as planned. Frustrating, you know?? And while this is probably fine (I do like the colors), it isn't what I'd planned, so I'm disappointed because this isn't balanced the way it should be. Oh, well. I'm sure it will still brighten someone's birthday!!
A couple of details:
(1) I scored double lines along each edge of the card to frame the panel of background DP,
(2) I colored the cupcake image with colored pencils, and
(3) I used a white gel pen to add faux stitching around the solid color panels.
Thanks for looking!
Emily

One of those days, huh? Your card is very pretty and I love the cupcake with the rosebuds going around it. Also, like your double flowers and great colors.
