I made this card for my brother who has a birthday next month. I am always stamping with my flowers and butterflies, not exactly great for my brother. I was inspired to use this Stampabilites chili pepper that I have had for almost 10 years. I stamped it randomly using black stazon. I used my prisma colored pencils to color the pepper in. I used my red colored pencil to make my grid. I liked how Sabrina (Cook22) did a double line on her grid card. So I added three green lines. I colored several of the squares in with my red and green colored pencils. It still needed something, so I used my itty bitty backgrounds stamp and stamped with red and green ink. I used my little alphabet stamps to stamp HOT 2 times. I added twine and brads. (both masculine embellishments right?) Rox71 is always so good to stamp the envelope with her cards. I decided today to stamp my envelope. I stamped and masked to get the peppers close together in the corner. I used my black, red and green colored pencils to doodle on the envelope.
The inside of the card I am still working on. I think it will say (HOPE YOU HAVE A HOT BIRTHDAY...DUH...IT IS IN AUGUST AND IN PHOENIX. IT WILL BE!!!)
Anyone who has lived in or visited Phoenix in August will understand.

Would you believe that I just bought that very stamp late this afternoon at a resale shop 2-1/2 miles from my house? I bought that and a Stamps of Approval (Albuquerque) chili bunch in addition to a few other stamps. I figured my two chili pepper dies needed some company.
Even though I live in a mountain town with a ski resort, I'm still in New Mexico where chili pepper is KING!
I found your card when I was searching for chili pepper birthday card ideas. Love your crossword puzzle looking background. Going to keep this in mind for future cards!
