Oiy, Amber gave us a doozie this week. Along with the sketch (which contained the dreaded circle), we had to try a new technique. Say what?! I like what I already know, thank you very much. lol
We had a choice between Poppin' Pastels and Burnt Batique. I went with Poppin' Pastels since I didn't have a spray water bottle lying around. After reading through the tutorials about a dozen times, and studying LOTS of other cards with this technique, I gave it a try. The verdict? I think I like it. Not so sure how often I'll actually use it without being forced to, heee, but it definitely added a fun look to the card. I sponged some dark teal over the design and then added some brown to the edges for some contrast.
The corners of the card felt a little lonely, so I ticket punched them and added some jewels.
Thanks for looking!

I love the poppin pastels b/g you created! The touch of brown around the edges is so subtle yet makes a huge difference! The bling looks great and I love how it mirrors the polka dot ribbon! Great card, nice job on the challenge!
