This card was made with the new set from Flourishes - "Patriotism on Parade" and is entered for their "cards for the troops" project. With each set purchased Flourishes is donating a percentage to the Wounded Warriors fund. The flag was colored with Copics and cut out. I used Ivory CS for the main image and then used White for the border, which is punched with my Martha Stewart stars border punch and backed with a strip of Brilliant Blue CS. The oval sentiment and backing are cut out with my Petite Oval Scalloped Nesties, the smallest oval in each of the Large and Small sets. I had begun another idea with this and that is why you can see part of the word "America" on the edge of the scallop, as well as fireworks. I liked this and repeated the idea to make 4 more of the same card. The little gold embellishments are gold half-balls from Michael's. I made a computer-generated sentiment for the inside that says "Celebrate FREEDOM." Hope you can join the "challenge." Check out Flourishes blog for details. You can find it on the June 20 posting. Thanks for looking.
