52 weeks of tea parties and madness. Who'd believe it. I remember the first one - it was a 4th of July pot and I didn't really have anything suitable. MariLynn sent me a suitable teddy-bear scrap, and she is tidied away too well - I only saw her recently and meant to make her into a card in time to celebrate. If I find her, she can come along and join all the Guards in their bearskin hats...I presume they are equal opportunity employers. Actually, I doubt it!
My card is nothing like as elegant as that teapot - and did you check out Cindy's amazing castle card!!! - but I've dug out my best china. We used to use this when I was little and particular family friends came for High Tea - English muffins, crumpets, dainty sandwiches, whatever else. I still have the silver muffin-warmer, as well as these tea cups. But not the silver pot, which was one of those ones which sat on a little stand, with a spirit lamp underneath it to keep it warm.
My card is whatever size it ended up after I'd stamped my Hero Arts filaments, made them an even number of scallops wide and scalloped the gold card to go behind them. The filaments were stamped with Peeled Paint Distress ink, and then I added gold Stickles. I used the corner rounder punch to scallop them, and the gold card. Added punched flower and Dew Drops. The little red berries fell off the lid of the teapot, so they are on the inside of the card.
Thank you, Cindy, for all your hospitality and entertainment throughout the year.

Sabrina, this is so elegant!! I love how you staged your card. I love the embossed gold background and the scalloped top. I know I already got in trouble with gardens today, but I have to ask is that your garden behind that card? I love the centers of your flowers.

Wasn't it nice that you didn't have to travel so far today, Sabrina? You brought the most elegant teacup and saucer, and beautiful card! Our card designs are a bit similar, but yours is so much more elegant and beautiful than mine. I love the embossed and scalloped gold.
I'm glad you kept nutty nutmeg under control, too, but don't tell her I said that, k? I'm sure you've seen how rough she can be on sweet Anne Ryan. LOL!

Oh what a beautiful card... but be careful with the gold... there has been rumored to have some thieves around here... not mentioning any names... but they left clues and fingerprints.

This is a perfect inspiration card!! I love it, and your pictured teacup with the story to go along with it. The gold scallops is a great addition...so glad you came to the party, and since you're one of the few without jet lag, you can keep the rest of us in line!!
