I heard there might be trouble. So I decided to come as a guard. Good thing, the Queen's necklace has already been stolen and MariLynn was caught picking the Queen's flowers out of the garden. tsk tsk I would have been here sooner, but it is hard flying with this crazy big hat. Not to mention, it is hot!
I am guarding the rather large teapot. We are expecting a pretty big crowd today. I don't want Charlene putting in any of her left over Saki!....or Tea as she was calling it last week.
Well enough about me, here is what happened to the card............
Basically, stamped my bear and colored with copics markers making him look like the Queen's guards at the palace. Put him in front of today's teapot that was sitting just outside the palace walls.
So, beware. I am on the job!!! No shenanigans today!.....okay, maybe a little. After all, I was caught earlier in the day shaking my "big furry bear fanny" as schirmcat put it. At least everyone in line got a chuckle. I actually just had an itch I was trying to scratch. Silly me.
Well, must get back to guarding the teapot. I have seen a few suspicious persons lurking around............TFL :0)

Oh, cute, love that guard bear. Looks like that teapot will be well taken care of. I am sure the regular guards will feel much better having you there helping. How sweet of MariLynn picking flowers for the Queen. I hope she got a really big bouquet for her, so she will invite us back.

Oh a zebra can't change his stripes (unless he is named Charley!) and a bear can't change fur (unless SHE is named MUTNIK!)...didn't I just see you in polar bear garb? Now after the tackle you have popped up again in another bear costume (KRISCHIR I am SOO sorry you got stuck with Mutnik's stuff at the baggage claim, apparently she does NOT travel light!)....Oh, and I see you got your nails done for the occasion, kudos for THAT at least!
Cathy this is toooo cute! How do you find/draw up the perfect images for every party?! I could just SNUG you in that big ole bear costume!

Cathy, I think you came in the bear costume so you wouldn't have to shave your legs!!!! Have you ever seen the poem or essay about "WHY I WANT TO BE A BEAR!!" I think having hairy legs was part of that poem. Your bear kinda reminds me of Charlie Brown's friend Pig Pen. I love the little teapot that you have. It so looks like Cindy's. I like how you got the castle wall too.

Why, for a moment I thought that Beat looked kinda Canadian!! Imagine my delight and be still my proud Candian heart!! But nay...... tis a bear dressed up for the Queen!! However, Mutnik, I do speak the Queen's English - as in this is a lovely coloured card, my dear neighbour to the South!
Fun card Mutnik!!! Have fun at the tea party! I'm just getting dressed in my gallery!

LOL, Kelly's polar bear kind of made me think of the Wombles, but now you've turned up yourself, you definitely do. Or is it Paddington?? Now, as you have already been suffering from heatstroke, that is definitely NOT the sort of hat to wear. Could you bring that sombrero and set a new trend for the Guards, to go along with global warming. It was over 80 in my craft room when I got home from work (no air con here), so I hope for your sake it's not quite that hot over in Windsor.

This is my comment! Well, I could not wait until you posted your card. Funny, how I just imagined it might be a bear dressed up in a guard costume! Rumor has it that you are getting stuffed in that big ole teapot you are guarding because the guards from Buckingham Palace have been shamed as someone finally cracked them, they actually giggled today! A combination of things actually, but I hear you were the ring leader! Windsor Castle has issued a formal apology and is having a press release in an hour. They say the tea partier responsible has been contained! Yep, we are gonna have to lug you and that big ole teapot all the way back to the airport!
You rock! I love that you are here! Thanks for coming and for the fun each week! You card is amazing....love the teapot and the bear and the fuzzy hat. Whisper: The teapot is amazing!!!!
