Happy Teaparty Anniversary to Cindy!! It is a formal affair this week, and all are invited!! Join the fun: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/
I planned on doing the 3 panels of flowers, just like the teapot. But I just couldn't get the look I was going for with any of my flower stamps. So I used the Fifth Avenue Floral set and tried that watercoloring technique that everyone is doing with this set. My colors aren't quite like the teapot, but I like them. I wanted to use the new Melon Mambo color. I punched a small circle of Yoyo Yellow carstock for the centers, then sqeezed a bunch of crystal effects over it.
Right in the front door for me this week. Cindy asked that we behave ourselves at Windsor Castle this week, and I don't think we can go in the back door at the castle!!!

Beautiful card, Kris! Love the watercolored flowers and the dotted ribbon! The scalloped borders are so pretty! You'll be let in the front door no question with this lovely card! And we all know you behave like a perfect lady every week!

Scallops - check.
Flowers - check.
Gold - check.
Polka dots??? Oh of course, we have to have polka dots, don't we. Got to have fancy ribbon for tying those gorgeous flowers together before you hand them to the Queen. Or maybe you'd better just hand them straight to Cindy, what with the dots.

I also am glad to see you finally arrive, Kris. It's so good to see someone with class and style attend. Some of the gals are really outta control. Bertie is on her best behavior, yet MariLynn is spreading rumors about her being a thief! Can you believe that? Bertie did NOT steal that necklace. The Queen GAVE it to her! Yup. It's true. Honest! It seeems that Bertie's got some English ancestry/nobility in her blood, so that The Queen wanted her to have a special gift of remembrance for her trip to the castle.
I love how you did your beautiful card! The polkadot ribbon is fabulous!

Don't believe Bertie! I heard she went back for the Queen's crown, stuffed it in her fancy teaparty dress and everyone thought she was just eating more M & M's. As a matter of fact, that's how she found her way back through this huge old castle, by leaving a trail of M & M's, then eating her way home! Snort!
I can always count on you to show up with a beautiful card and most times you can come in the appropriate entrance. Although, you have been known to throw a big pig butt or two in the mix from time to time! Glad you got that out of your system before we got to the Windsor Castle!
So glad your busy schedule allowed you to come! I love having you here. Your water coloring is awesome and the gold is teapot perfection! Love the glitz! Thanks for coming, I know how very busy you are! Hugs!

I love the misc gold from the Stash! too funny! Sure it wasn't the Queens Stash??? Bertie has been hitting the stash too! I think some of the ladies had some sake still stashed from last week by the sounds of things... there are bears, outhouses, necklaces all over the places... oh yeah, and all the picked flowers from the Queens garden.... are you sure you didn't pick those? they are Picture Perfect! Really just such a beautiful card. You must have been doing that piercing all day!
