I just love to paper piece things...in fact, I may be a bit addicted to it. So I was quite excited when it was today's CAS challenge. I combined it with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #23. It is a 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 card.
I used a lot of shades of gray in this card; I hope it doesn't look too somber for a birthday card! I stamped the botanical blooms on one-inch squares of SU Going Gray and also onto PTI bitty dot paper (spring moss for the leaves, berry sherbet for the flowers *i think*). After cutting them out, I ran them through the Xyron to adhere them. The one-inch squares were then pop-dotted to SU Basic Gray scallop squares (the smallest large scallop square).
The base is PTI soft stone. I added green Martha Stewart ribbon and layered American Craft gray ribbon on top. The sentiment was stamped in black.
