Thanks for lookings, I tell you, this is therapy for me. I am visiting my mom later on this morning, she has alzheimers, and it's not always an easy thing to do. It's very weird to say the least, when she thinks of me as this nice lady instead of her daughter. So believe me cardmaking in my heart of hearts, is my therapy. Ooops, sorry about getting all mushy, just had to go on about that. But I am very happy still to see that she can laugh, and we can sing old western songs she use to listen while I was growing up and grinding my teeth in anger everytime she'd put on the stereo and the voice of Freddie Fender would cry out: "Waisted days and waisted night...."
Anyway, hope you like this "pot-pourri" of vintage, shabby and "miss my mom" card. Guess, mom will be getting a card from a "nice lady" today!
Thanks for looking and being sort of an ear for me.

Lovely combination of elements. My mother has Alzheimer's, although it hasn't progressed to where she doesn't know any of us. Not looking forward to that day. Hang in there.

Gorgeous card, Peggy -- very continental-looking (if that's an apt description). I can relate to your situation. My mom (who will be 90 in August) is in an assisted living facility; and, while she doesn't have Alzheimers's, she does suffer from senile dementia. She always knows me and my daughter when we visit each week, but we can have the same conversation at least three times during our visit.

Thanks so much for your kind words on my page, Marilynn. You're so kind. This card is so simply elegant!
I can relate to the Alzheimer's as my husband's Grandmother has it, and it's still so hard to accept. I bet you Mom will enjoy this card very much, Best ~Jeni

Such a beautiful card and gorgeous brad. I feel so bad for you and your Mom and know it must be a terrible thing to see her in that condition. Prayers and hugs.
