I find that the key to watercolouring is to use layers of many colours . . . it was challenging to use only 3. To expand my palette, I used both the ink and the markers (since they do not match and are actually different). That gave me 4 shades of orange instead of only two.

Very nice! I do the same thing when watercoloring. It helps to let it dry between colors, too.
