There you can find the link to the Faux Rimmed Tag technique.
Because I did not have vellum or metallic cardstock, here is what I did. I made my own metallic paper, by embossing a large area of cardstock with versamark and silver embossing powder, and then punching it as normal. Also, I did not have vellum, so I used Shimmery White as was suggested to me.
Also, I originally made 3 tags, but no matter what I did it just never looked right. I guess you could say it wasn't Feng Shui? lol. Anywho, so I couldn't let the beautiful flower circle I had colored and created go to waste, so I decided to make a gift tag to accompany this card. Notice the hole for the black hemp is created using the same fashion, except I used the 1/4" and 1/2" circle punches to create a sort of faux looking eyelet.
Anywho, realistically the card is really super fast to make, coloring in the leaves after stamping the bamboo image. Even the tag really didn't take all that long, if I think about it, and actually sat and made it straight through.
Anywho, thanks for the encouragement ladies to finish this project, love the end result. TFL!

Lovely and exotic. And the minimalizing really gives your card an Asian feel. The flower tag is lovely as well. It looks like a perfect flower for the tag. Your hole for the tag looks like the real thing. As usual, you did a wonderful job on the challenge.
Thanks for sharing your very creative view of this challenge.

Very nifty set, Amy. I noticed your teeny little embossed circle right away. Nice touch.
The faux tags are, of course, beautiful, but I really like the simplicity and elegance of the black bamboo stalks. Especially with the balck ribbon at the top. Slick!
