I decided to make myself some hot plates for our log cabin. This tile is 3-3/4" x 3-3/4". Since my husband and I love to deer hunt, I wanted to use deer stamps. I wish we could have built it a few years ago, when everywhere you looked there was lodge decor and some not so expensive, now there is cabelas, & black forest but most of the stuff is outrageous in price. We splurged a little on the countertop instead of plain old formica we picked silestone, and even if I do say so myself it looks great with the cabinets he picked out and the color of the log walls we picked, and I do believe these tiles go well also. I stamped the image with stazon, colored with markers, and sprayed a sealer on top. I think I remember reading somewhere if you use stazon you do not have to seal, however the first time I did them just to see how they would look, I did not seal them and the picture rubbed right off when I wiped them off with the dishrag, (I use Dawn dishwashing liquid)the ink had plenty of time to dry. I have also read you can bake them, but I just use a cheap can of clear spray paint . I glued felt to the back. Thanks for looking.
