This week's Ways to Use It challenge was to be creative - use punches, draw, etc. whatever you need that you didn't have a stamp to depict it.
St. Patrick Day stamps can be difficult to find. Since I send only send one (to a very sweet Irish lady), I don't want to spend a lot of money. Here's a card I made for her. It was before I got my camera so it is scanned. The tan border is not part of the card.
For the purposes of the challenge, the creative part is the hand and sentiment. I know it only shows 3 fingers and a thumb but there is another finger behind the mug, but you knew that All four fingers wouldn't fit in the mug handle. I used a die cut of a hand, punched a border for the lace and used a scrap for the cuff. I added a brad for the button and gold cord for trim. Also, since I didn't have any DP, I made my own. The sentiment (Gaelic for Cheers) is made up of die cuts with a negative scrap as the accent. The mug was stamped twice - once on a white cardstock scrap in black and once in green on green vellum. They were glued together and then I added the foam with embossing paste.
Thanks for looking and I hope it helps to inspire you to look for other ways to create the scene/card that you envision.
