I wasn't sure whether to bother uploading this, but here it is...Lynn's challenge today was to make a hinge card. The first one that I came across a couple of weeks ago was round, so I decided to try a round one. Maybe I should have stuck with following the tutorial.
I used Nestabilities to cut the base and a blue and sand circle. The sand circle was embossed with Swiss Dots, and the sea with D'vine Swirl. Both were sponged (Tattered Straw Distress Ink, and Blue Lagoon Chalk) and also had the edges sponged. I stuck the sand layer directly to the base, and then attached the sea with a blue eyelet, using an eyelet washer at the back to keep it looking neat. I made sure to position this high enough to fit a scrap of summery ric-rac along the top of the sand.
The starfish is from Pink Cat Studio, stamped on an old scrap of Polished Stone. The sentiment from Lots of Thoughts is stamped on another scrap. The two little shells are from PCS too - I stamped them with a light brown, sponged them with Tattered Straw and then added Crackle Accents. Shame I didn't just use a sentiment from PCS too, then it would have qualified for Friday's LSC too. Added some green Distress Stickles around the edge of the starfish - it will look a bit better when it's had time to dry .
