Good morning, this is for Sharon's (notimetostamp) Friday challenge found here Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
to make a red, white and blue card. I chose to make a card to honour our heroes in the armed services. Being married to a Marine for the past 20 years, I know the sacrifices that the men and women in uniform, as well as their families, make. Thank you to all that have served. I hope you all have a wonderful, safe Memorial day and take a moment to remember all those who have served and are currently serving. God Bless America!!
As is usual for me, this is not what I had in mind. It took various twists and turns, but this is what I ended up with. I added the yellow ribbon at the end, because it just looked like it needed something else, so Sharon, I hope this still qualifies for your challenge! The red, white and blue paper was created using Lisa Johnson's new set from Papertrey Ink, called Let Freedom Ring.

Dawn, what a great upload for Sharon's challenge. I LOVE everything you did with it. Love that pop of yellow in there too! We are still an active duty family, so we thank you so much for the work and thought you put into this! TFS Dawn!

Great card - the little yellow ribbon is a nice touch. Although I'm in Canada where Memorial Day isn't one of our 'holidays', we lived for many years in a community with a military training base and know many people who are serving overseas. In fact, my DD's BF was injured in Afghanistan. Always good to take a moment to remember the sacrifices being made...
