I made this card for my nephew's birthday. The reason I called it 'Hi Ho Silver' is because the dp is called 'Lone Ranger' and I have had the theme song from the TVshow going thru my head.
Not much to explain - wysiwyg. I tried my hand at faux-stitching - well, I tried - not sure if I like how it turned out but thought I would post the card here anyway. Can anyone give me any tips - please?!!! I used gel pens - maybe that's where I went wrong!!
The blue cs has a leathergrain textured surface and I CB'd it with the Happy Birthday ef and then sanded it to make it look distressed like the dp - I like how that bit turned out. The stars are diecut with my Nesties and popped up on mounts. The sentiment is stamped with Umber pigment ink and embossed with clear ep and also popped up on mounts. I added a little piece of sheer blue ribbon in the brown ribbon's knot. If I hadn't been so frustrated with the faux stitching, I would have added some walnut distress ink to the card edges, but I forgot. Oh well!
Thanks for having a peek!

What an awesome card!! I love the colors, the DP, the Cuttlebugged background and the star image is just perfect! I think you did a great job on the faux stitching and the ribbons, brads and distressing just make it perfect!!
